What encryption does the app use?
It creates AES-256 PDF encryption using the modern V5/revision 6 security handler.
Why only one password instead of separate open and owner passwords?
Because the point is content nobody without the password can read — splitting that into a permissions layer a viewer can just ignore was never real protection.
What happens to a file with the wrong password during Unprotect?
It is skipped, not treated as a reason to stop — the rest of the batch keeps going.
